FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • how does iace work?

iACE is a blended learning programme involving traditional face-to-face support sessions from specialist teachers as well as access to an online support portal. All packages include FREE Comprehensive Assessment and Feedback to assess your child's baseline in Maths and English at the beginning of the iACE programme in order to measure how they've progressed during the year.

  • does iace replace regular weekly tuition?

No. iACE is not designed to replace traditional face-to-face learning. iACE is designed to support your child's learning with limited face-to-face support sessions from specialist teachers and high-quality weekly worksheets. It provides regular assessments/feedback (depending on the package subscribed) along with the online portal for regular practice. It also works optimally for home-schooled or special needs children.

  • how long are face-to-face support hours and how do i book them?

Face-to-face support hours are in a block of 60 minutes. You may add additional support hours back-to-back to your choice of subject/s (Maths or English). Support hours must be pre-booked by email one week in advance (during term-time) to ensure a specialist teacher can give your child his/her full time and dedication. Support hours will be quarterly pro-rated. For example, if you opt for iACE Extended  (12 hours face-to-face hours), only 3 hours per quarter can be booked to ensure your child receives continuous help throughout the year.

  • my child needs more face-to-face support. can i book additional face-to-face support sessions?

Yes, you can book additional face-to-face support hours at any time during the year including holidays and weekends. Please email us with as much information as possible with your requirements i.e. subject, topic, convenient dates and times and we'll confirm the session within 24 hours.

  • ARE THERE ANY ENROLMENT COSTS?

Yes, our standard one-off enrolment fee is £50.

  • DO YOU OFFER any financial help?

Yes, we have many types of discounts and financial support available. Our core mission is the rating of achievement of your child. To do this we have structured our support programmes to be financially accessible to all.

  1. Hardship Fund: We have a dedicated Hardship Fund to provide support for families that are facing financial hardship. e.g. single parents, unemployed (benefit proof required).  It is funded by our partners/sponsors and is extremely limited.
  2. Tax-incentive schemes: You can save up to 85% on iACE fees when you pay by Universal Credit/ Childcare Vouchers/ Tax-Free Childcare or Working Tax Credit. All our centres are OFSTED registered, and as such, we can accept all of the above payment methods. For more information, click here

Please email us if you have any further queries.

  • DOES iACE WORK ALONGSIDE WHAT MY CHILD IS LEARNING AT SCHOOL?

Yes. iACE is aligned to the National Curriculum. The online portal and tutors are trained to teach using the New National Curriculum approved teaching methods to ensure that the children have consistency with how they learn at school. This means that your child can always take the skills that they have learned at iACE back into the classroom.

  • can i upgrade/downgrade my membership?

Yes, all iACE packages are flexible. You can upgrade/downgrade your iACE package at any time by emailing us. Please note that we require one month notice. Kindly remember to quote your child's student number in the subject of the email.

  • WHAT ROLE DO THE TUTORS PLAY IN MY CHILD’S LEARNING?

Our tutors are the most important factor in children’s progress at ACE Learning. All of our tutors are trained in the curriculum, and teach using a range of interactive resources that adapt to each child’s individual ability, challenging them at exactly the right level. By getting to know each child as an individual, the tutors also play an essential role in boosting children’s confidence and motivation for learning.

  • MY CHILD IS home-schooling. CAN THEY BENEFIT FROM joining iACE?

Yes. iACE can be very helpful if you're home-schooling your child. We've tailored iACE to fit for every child’s individual requirements. It is designed around the child’s academic ability rather than their age, allowing you to teach them at their own pace. However, to ensure your child does not fall behind academically, we recommend the Extended or Premium package for all home-schooling children.

  • MY CHILD IS 4 YEARS OLD - CAN S/HE ATTEND?

Yes, iACE is designed to support children from Year 4 (Reception) to Year 16 (GCSEs). Please email us to discuss their individual needs.

  • HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I NEED TO GIVE IF I HAVE TO STOP MY monthly MEMBERSHIP?

Initially, you should email us to discuss your child’s membership to-date, and the progress that they have made. Should you then wish to cancel your membership, we require one month written notice by email. Please note that once the membership is cancelled, you may lose access to all iACE learning material.

If you've any more queries not listed above, let the iACE team know at iace@acelearning.org.uk.
